COFFEE CRAWL
We have all experienced the joy of having the first sip of coffee in the morning, we have tried its tasty flavor over a meeting with friends, or have been saved by it more than once in a hard day at work, but did you know your coffee has made a very long journey to get to your cup? We want to share that journey with you and help you open a door to a world full of art and wonders, the world of coffee! Our tour begins in the beautiful city of Antigua Guatemala in the Cathedral’s atrium in 5th Calle Oriente. We will start by going to the South of the city to visit one of the few coffee farms that keeps its authenticity. At the farm we will be received by one of the local workers who has more than 20 years of experience, making him an expert in the field of coffee farming. Here we will learn the process of coffee production from the plant to the cup, and all this while being surrounded by one of the most breathtaking views of the volcanoes that make our soil so rich for planting. As we finish our walk through the farm, we will hop in our fun transportation and return to Antigua Guatemala to begin our crawl. On our first stop we will visit a coffee roaster; here we will see how the art and science of roasting produces the flavors and aromas that make our coffee the great drink that it is. On our second stop we will play with your senses and show you everything there is to know about a cup coffee, all of this while you enjoy the beautiful streets and culture of the colonial city. Finally, we will have a refreshing beer with notes of coffee, while we learn how coffee can be used in different beverages. By the end of the Coffee Crawl not only will you have met a group of coffee enthusiasts and experts in all its fields, but you will take your knowledge of the coffee world to the next level.
